Artificial Intelligence (AI) Scribe Policy

We are committed to providing the best possible care for you, and as part of this commitment, we are continually looking for ways to improve our services. We may introduce a new tool called an Artificial Intelligence (AI) Scribe in our clinic. AI Scribe is a tool that can assist us during patient appointments by generating a written summary or “clinical note” based on our conversations. The note is then reviewed and approved by your clinician. This tool may help to reduce the burden of documentation and may improve our ability to focus on you.

Your privacy is our utmost priority. Our Jane AI Scribe tool is compliant with Canadian federal and provincial laws, adhering to PIPEDA (Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act) and PHIPA (Personal Health Information Protection Act), respectively, to ensure that your data is secure and protected. Only the healthcare professional involved in your care will have access to these notes. The audio file is permanently deleted.
