Kelly O’Connor, Physiotherapist

I believe physiotherapy should empower people to return to the activities that matter most in their lives. My treatment approach focuses on education, movement, and exercise, with the goal of giving clients the tools they need to recover and thrive! In addition to treating musculoskeletal injuries and pelvic health conditions, I have a special interest in helping individuals experiencing dizziness, concussion, and other vestibular disorders.

I received my Master’s of Physiotherapy from the University of Ottawa and have since pursued continuing education in a wide range of areas. My post-graduate courses and certifications includes:

  • Canadian Academy of Manual Physiotherapy Level 1 and Level 2 Certification
  • McKenzie Level A (Lumbar Spine)
  • McKenzie Level B (Cervical and Thoracic Spine).
  • The Physical Therapy Approach to Anyone Experiencing Urinary Incontinence
  • The Role of Physiotherapy in the Treatment for anyone experiencing Pelvic Pain through a Trauma Informed Lens
  • Pregnancy and Pelvic Girdle Pain
  • Management of Diastasis Rectus Abdominus
  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Distressing Physical Symptoms
  • Vestibular Rehabilitation: A Comprehensive Introduction
  • Advanced Vestibular Rehabilitation
  • Complete Concussion Management Level 1

Outside of the clinic, I love spending my time active and outdoors! I am an avid cyclist (long time road biker and more recently, a mountain biking enthusiast). I also love camping and exploring new hiking trails in the summer, and skiing in the winter. In my downtime, you’ll find me enjoying time with friends and family, or experimenting with new recipes.
