Safety Measures for In-Clinic Appointments

We are following best practice standards to ensure the safety of our clients and therapists.

Before your appointment:

  1. You will receive a COVID screening survey by email approximately 4 hours before your appointment. Please complete it before you arrive to the clinic.
  2. New clients: please ensure that you have logged into the portal and completed the “New Client Policies 2020″ form  and the “Orthopedic Intake” OR “Pelvic Health Intake” forms. Please email your physiotherapist in advance with  any questions. You will have an opportunity to further discuss these policies with your physiotherapist and ask any questions at your first appointment.
  3. If you are in any of the higher-risk groups below, please email your physiotherapist  to discuss the options of a telehealth appointment or an in-clinic appointment with addtional precautions in place:
    • 70 years and older
    • chronic disease including heart disease, hypertension, lung disease, diabetes and cancer
    • weakened immune system (from a medical condition or chemotherapy)
  4. Please DO NOT come to the clinic if:
    • you have had a confirmed case of COVID-19 or had close contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19 or if you suspect possible exposure to COVID-19
    • you are 70 years old or older and are experiencing any of the following symptoms:
      • delirium
      • unexplained or increased number of falls
      • sudden, unexplained functional decline
      • sudden worsening of chronic conditions
    • you have any of the symptoms below:
      • fever or chills
      • new onset of cough or worsening chronic cough
      • shortness of breath
      • difficulty breathing
      • sore throat
      • difficulty swallowing
      • decrease loss of sense of smell or taste
      • headaches
      • unexplained fatigue/malaise/muscle aches
      • nausea, vomiting, diarrhea or abdominal pain
      • pink eye
      • runny nose/nasal congestion (without a known cause such as seasonal allergies or post nasal drip)

    Please call our receptionist to reschedule your appointment if you have any of the symptoms above. You can also email your physiotherapist directly to request to change your appointment to a telehealth appointment. A cancellation fee will not apply if you cancel your appointment for any of the above reasons.

  5. Please plan to come to your appointment alone unless it is essential that another person accompany you. We request that all visitors sign in and answer the Covid-19 screening questions.
  6. Please bring your own mask and water bottle with you.
  7. Please use the washroom at home if possible. If you need to use the clinic washroom just let us know so we can disinfect it after each use.

Arriving for your appointment:

  1. Please arrive for your appointment if possible no earlier than 5 minutes before your scheduled appointment time to limit the number of clients in the waiting room and to allow for social distancing within the clinic.
  2. Please enter the clinic wearing a mask. There are disposble masks available at the entrance if needed.
  3. Please sanitize your hands at the clinic entrance.
  4. Please try to maintain a 6-ft (2 metre) distance from any other client or practitioner who is not treating you. If a client is coming up the stairs, please give them the priority and wait in the waiting room before going down the stairs.
  5. Your physiotherapist will greet you in the waiting room wearing a mask.  You will be asked the COVID-19 screening questions before you enter the treatment room.
  6. There will be a small, wipeable bin in the clinic room where you can place your personal items.

At the end of your appointment:

  1. Payments will be accepted by debit and e-transfer only.
  2. All receipts will be emailed.
  3. Please sanitize your hands before leaving the clinic.
