Telehealth Physiotherapy Appointments
Almost all of our physiotherapy services, with a few exceptions, are available through Telehealth for both initial assessments and follow-up appointments.
You may switch your appointment to Telehealth at any time to avoid a late cancellation fee by calling (613) 291-2956.
Our Telehealth platform is secure, confidential, and fully compliant with PHIPA and PIPEDA privacy standards. All Telehealth services are delivered in accordance with the same professional standards, scope of practice, and legal requirements as in-clinic care.
Telehealth appointments may include, but are not limited to, a detailed health history, visual assessment of posture and movement, education, exercise instruction, and discussion of any questions or concerns.
Telehealth provides convenient access to physiotherapy from the comfort of your home and may be particularly helpful during poor weather, mobility limitations, or work and childcare commitments. Potential risks include temporary audio or video disruptions, internet connectivity issues, or, in rare cases, privacy breaches.
Your physiotherapist will confirm your location at the start of the appointment and whether anyone else is at home with you in the event of an emergency.
The fees for Telehealth appointments are the same as for in-clinic physiotherapy appointments. Payments can be made by e-transfer to admin@core-connections.ca the day of your appointment. Your physiotherapy invoice will clearly state that the appointment was a Telehealth appointment. Most extended health insurance plans in Ontario cover Telehealth physiotherapy sessions. During the
COVID-19 pandemic, most major insurers adapted their policies to include virtual care, and this coverage has generally continued.
