Postnatal Core Restore Classes

Classes taught virtually via live stream using the Zoom platform

The Postnatal Core Restore series is designed address common postnatal problems such as urinary incontinence, prolapse and diastases and to help restore your body postpartum. The classes integrate breath work, spinal mobility exercise, postural alignment, hypopressives, education and progressive core strengthening exercises. The small class sizes are taught by Wendy Miller, Physiotherapist and Pilates instructor, and Monate Praamsma, Physiotherapist.


Therapeutic Benefits:

  • Help prevent or manage common postnatal complaints  including low back or pelvic pain, abdominal and pelvic floor muscle weakness, incontinence, prolapse or diastasic recti abdomens
  • Optimize your posture, breathing patterns and ability to regulate pressures
  • Release exercises
  • Connect to your core and learn progressive core strengthening exercises
  • Learn introductory hypopressives



*Extended health physiotherapy coverage may apply if you have completed a Postnatal Physiotherapy Assessment and are receiving ongoing physiotherapy care with a physiotherapist at Core Connections Physiotherapy or with another referring physiotherapist

Payment is required at the time of registration for the full 6-weeks by sending an e-transfer of for the full amount $240 to with the password “core connections”.

Postnatal Physiotherapy Assessment 

A postnatal physiotherapy assessment is required prior to starting the  classes. Please note virtual and in-clinic assessments are available for postnatal assessments.

The Postnatal Physiotherapy Assessment includes screening for:

  • low back, thoracic or pelvic pain or pubic symphysis pain
  • abdominal weakness
  • prolapse
  • urinary incontinence
  • pelvic floor muscle hypertonicity and/or weakness
  • perineal scars and c-section scars
  • breathing assessment
  • cuing for optimal core muscle recruitment
  • posture and body mechanics
