Beth Hoag, Physiotherapist

BethBeth completed her Clinical Masters of Physiotherapy in 2005 at McMaster University. Prior to this she obtained a Bachelor of Education (2002) and Bachelor of Arts (2001). With a strong background in orthopaedics, Beth broadened her practice in 2008 to work with men and women affected by cancer. In 2017, she completed her pelvic health courses related to the treatment of incontinence and pelvic pain. Though the impetus to take this training was to help meet the unique needs of those affected by cancer, she has thoroughly enjoyed helping others with their pelvic health needs.

Beth is passionate about ongoing education. Some of the many courses she has taken include Orthopaedic Manual Therapy (level 3 completed), Dry Needling, and Barnes Myofascial Release (MFR, Intermediate Level Therapist). She has also obtained post-graduate certifications in Acupuncture (2006) and Complete Decongestive Therapy (CDT – 2008).

Beth believes strongly in considering the “whole person” when working with her patients. Through her caring and compassionate approach, she uses a variety of techniques to address the individual needs of each person.

Outside of work, Beth balances her active lifestyle (xc skiing, curling, dragon boating, swimming, kayaking, dog walking and running) with such mind-body activities as yoga, meditation, and gardening.
